"Why is the dog sleeping?"
"Because she's tired."
"Why is she tired?"
"Because she played a lot."
"Why did she play a lot?"
"Because..."
My three-year-old's relentless questions exhaust me. But they remind me of a fundamental truth: The capacity to wonder matters more than the ability to answer.
While headlines scream about AI's limitations, my daughter shows me what boundless curiosity looks like. Her rules evolve mid-game, questioning everything—free from the limits we've learned to accept.
Everyone's searching for AI's ceiling—the point where capabilities plateau. But these boundaries keep dissolving. What seemed impossible last quarter ships as a feature this quarter. We're not hitting AI's limits—we're hitting the edges of our imagination.
Most of us stopped asking "why" somewhere along the way. We accepted the comfortable first answer, settled for "that's just how it works." Each assumption became another constraint.
In a world where AI can build almost anything we can envision, curiosity becomes the only scarce resource. Every breakthrough starts with someone asking questions others haven't thought to ask—the ones who keep asking "what if" when others settle for "what is."
We're in a unique window of opportunity. The gap isn't between those who can and can't use AI—it's between those who dare to reimagine what's possible and those who cling to old constraints. While most wait for certainty, the curious are gaining superpowers.
Start with one question that challenges your assumptions. Then do what comes naturally—keep asking.
Information arbitrage or knowing the answer is history .... knowing what questions to ask + the imagination to keep peeling back layers, is the new superpower!
What a time to be alive
